Deadline reports that Carrie Fisher’s last film, which was shot just six weeks before her death in 2016, will soon have its premiere.

Wonderwell

The film in question is the fantasy movie “Wonderwell”, where Fisher portrays the character Hazel, who takes the 12-year-old protagonist Violet (Kiera Milward) on a journey to see her possible future. In addition to Fisher and Milward, British artist Rita Ora also has a role in the film.

The seven-year delay in the film’s release is attributed, in part, to pandemic-related shutdowns and the extensive post-production work that director Vlad Marsavin had originally envisioned. “Wonderwell” is set to have its theatrical premiere in the United States on June 23rd.
