During this week’s CinemaCon 2023 in Las Vegas, Sony Pictures revealed more about its adaptation of the Marvel villain Kraven the Hunter.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson will play the role of Kraven the Hunter as well as his alter ego Sergei Kravinoff, while Russell Crowe will appear as Kraven’s father. It appears to be the most violent Marvel film that Sony has produced. During a panel discussion, Taylor-Johnson said, among other things:
Kraven the Hunter is a Marvel movie grounded heavily in the real world. And anyone who is familiar with the comics and the character of Kraven, they know that he’s a fierce hunter with the skill of a highly trained killer. So, I figure now’s a good time to answer the Internet’s biggest question about the film.
Will it be rated R? Fuck yes it’s going to be rated R.
Kraven the Hunter will hit theaters in the US on October 6.
