We have all heard of ChatGPT by now, and that product is based on GPT-3.5. Now, OpenAI is releasing GPT-4 which is even smarter and can do even bigger things. GPT-4 can take in and generate up to 25,000 words which is eight times more than GPT-3.5.
GPT-4 can also see and understand images. For example, it can see in a picture that there are a number of balloons and understand that if you cut the strings, the balloons will fly up into the sky.
It is believed that GPT-4 can mean a lot for education because it can not only tell you how atoms work but also understand you and tell you in a way that you understand how atoms work.
Above, you can check out a livestream where developers were told more about how GPT-4 works. There are already some who have started using GPT-4 in their products, including Duolingo where you can now practice conversations in the app, such as ordering food at a café. Instead of using pre-programmed loops, these are more like real conversations.
