Yesterday, Microsoft unveiled its answer to Google’s AI features for Gmail and Docs – a new AI-driven “Copilot” for its Microsoft 365 apps and services, which is designed to help users create documents, emails, presentations, and much more.
Copilot is powered by GPT-4 from OpenAI and will appear in the sidebar of Microsoft 365 apps, much like an assistant. Users can use it to generate text in documents, create PowerPoint presentations based on Word documents, or even help interpret data in Excel.
Right now, Microsoft is testing the feature with a limited number of users, and it remains to be seen when it will be rolled out more widely.
