Ikea has been offering the Place app for a number of years now, where you can look at furniture in 3D on iOS. Now it will be even easier to look at different products in 3D on Android, as it is now possible to view many Ikea products directly in Google’s search results.
On Android, you can bring up furniture in AR directly in Chrome, and on iOS you need to have the Google app installed to see the products in your surroundings. However, it is still possible to view products in 3D directly in Safari on iOS.
It is unclear exactly how many Ikea products can be viewed in 3D, but the selection seems to be broad and everything we searched for appeared among Google’s search results in 3D.
