Amazon has begun testing a feature that uses generative AI to summarize the product reviews found on its e-commerce platform.
This can be convenient for shoppers who feel they don’t have the time to go through all the reviews sometimes associated with a product.
Initially, the AI-generated product reviews can be found in Amazon’s app. You can find an example of an AI-generated summary for reviews of the product “Magic Mixies Magical Misting Cauldron with Interactive 8 inch Blue Plush Toy” below. Amazon has confirmed that it is testing a generative AI feature to summarize reviews in its app.
There is currently no information available on whether this will become permanent and possibly be rolled out on Amazon’s web version.
