This is how Meta’s and Instagram’s “answer to Twitter” could look like. The image is taken from an internal presentation of the app “Project 92,” which may have the public name “Threads,” according to The Verge. The app is intended to use users’ login and account information from Instagram.

Meta’s Head of Product Development, Chris Cox, states that the app’s focus is on “safety, user-friendliness, reliability,” and ensuring that creators have a “stable place to build and grow their audience.” According to him, they have heard from users that they want a platform that operates in a healthy manner, which they believe they can rely on for distributing their text-based content.

Work on the app reportedly started in January, and according to Cox, the company aims to release it as soon as possible.
