Age of Sigmar may not historically be the most beloved part of Warhammer, but Elite developer Frontier is determined to create a real-time strategy game in this world. It’s called Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin and allows us to take control of four different factions and their diverse units.
From July 7th to 10th, Frontier is organizing an open beta test of the game’s multiplayer component, where players can choose to play as either Stormcast Eternals or Orruk Kruleboyz in 1v1 matches. But the game won’t only focus on multiplayer, and Frontier tells RPS that there is a lot to look forward to in the single-player campaign.
They also say that they didn’t want to reinvent the wheel but simply wanted to create an RTS game in a modern setting that both genre veterans and newcomers can play. The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, and will support crossplay across all platforms.
