Today is the launch of the big venture between Lego and Epic Games, where Epic Games’ popular online game Fortnite gets a Lego mode.
Lego and Epic Games announced last year that they would build a metaverse venture together. We are going to see the first version of this today. However, they no longer call it a metaverse, probably because the term has become somewhat negatively charged since the height of the metaverse hype.
In Fortnite’s Lego mode, players will get skins to resemble minifigures from Lego. Unlike traditional Fortnite, it will not be possible to harm other players, making the Lego mode in Fortnite more child-friendly.
Lego Fortnite will be playable on all platforms where Fortnite is available today. Above is a trailer for the Lego mode in Fortnite.
