EA announced yesterday that EA Sports NHL 24 will be released on October 6th. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Those hoping for a Windows release will have to continue waiting for better times. The cover athlete for this year’s game is Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar.
New features for this year include an improved Exhaust Engine, powered by Frostbite, which incorporates enhancements designed to make the gameplay more intense and closely resemble real hockey. Additionally, the game’s physics engine is said to be better, enabling realistic body checks and the ability to shatter glass.
A notable addition introduced in last year’s game was cross-play, and in NHL 24, they have enhanced it to allow playing with and against others on the same generation of Sony and Microsoft consoles.
