During the Summer of Games, game developer Dan DeEntremont released a new trailer for his upcoming action game, Squirrel with a Gun.
The game revolves around a squirrel who acquires various weapons to fight against the Japanese mafia and others. The recoil from the weapons can also be used by the squirrel to defy gravity and move around.
DeEntremont has previously mentioned that the game draws inspiration from titles like the Yakuza series and Shadow of the Colossus. In an interview with IGN, DeEntremont stated:
In Yakuza, I like all the heat actions where the little crazy, actiony cinematic [plays], so I put that in the squirrel. I like Shadow of the Colossus, I like climbing the enemies, making that a whole ordeal.
Squirrel with a Gun will be released for PC, but there is currently no information available regarding the release date. Below, you can find the first trailer for the game, which was released last year.
