Last week, PEGI accidentally revealed a release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2, and during yesterday’s game showcase, Capcom confirmed that it was accurate – it’s set for March 22, 2024.
The 15-minute walkthrough also featured lots of new gameplay, including a battle against the giant statue Talos, who emerges from the sea and starts walking towards a city. To stop him, players can use ranged weapons against his weak points or take a leap and jump onto him.
Furthermore, the adventure will not be a direct continuation of the first game, but will take place in a parallel universe where two nations compete for power, with vastly different views on the “arisen” one plays as and the “pawns” one recruits as companions.
