Hyper Light Drifter is getting a “sequel” that differs quite significantly. Instead of pixelated 2D, it features a colorful 3D world to explore in Hyper Light Breaker, and the latest trailer gives us a look at what it might be like.
There is a lot of environmental variation, including floating islands, grasslands, areas with giant crystals, and snow-covered hills. To get around, there are also several options, including a hoverboard, a hang glider, and various acrobatic abilities. There will also be enemies to defeat, equipment to unlock, and bosses to conquer.
Hyper Light Breaker is set to be released in early access on Steam sometime in the fall.
