While modern Xcom is great, if you want an experience closer to the old X-com games, then Xenonauts is the way to go. A sequel to the first game is on its way, logically titled Xenonauts 2, and now we have a release date.
In a new trailer, we learn that the game will be released on July 18th, which is just about a month away. In the game, humanity faces an extraterrestrial threat, and it falls upon the player to lead the defense against the invaders by establishing and expanding bases across the globe and engaging in research.
Players will also confront the aliens directly in turn-based battles, where they can choose to approach with caution to retrieve as many enemy bodies and as much technology as possible, or simply blow them to pieces to avoid risking the loss of their favorite troops.
Xenonauts 2 will be released on PC on July 18th.
