It has been known for some time that Brad Pitt will play the lead role in an upcoming F1 film. Now we get to know a bit more about it.
On July 9th, this year’s edition of the British Grand Prix will kick off and they will be there to film material for the movie. They will also participate in other upcoming races and create an “eleventh” team that will be on the track, but between the actual races. Brad will also be behind the wheel to make it as realistic as possible. A very small camera capable of filming in 6K has been developed so that they can capture all the action in the car as it is being driven. However, it will not be in an F1 car but in a modified F2 car.
The film is being made for Apple Studios and will be directed by Joseph Kosinski, who made Top Gun: Maverick, and produced by legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Lewis Hamilton will also help with the production. The plot is that Brad is an experienced F1 driver who returns after retiring to race against a newcomer, played by Damson Idris.
