Electric vehicle brand NIU, which sells motorcycles and mopeds, has now opened an unmanned showroom with these vehicles in Stockholm.

It is the first of its kind in the world and is made possible by a high-tech AI security system. This combines camera and audio systems that can, among other things, alert if an unidentified person enters the store and can also sound an alarm if someone falls or screams. You should be able to both test the products and order them completely without human assistance. To enter the store, you need to identify yourself with BankID and once inside, you can get information about the products by scanning QR codes.

“The next step in the vehicle industry is to support its online trade with physical locations where products can be easily and safely tested before ordering them. We are very proud to be the first to test the concept and lead the industry into a new era,” says Peder Askerlund, Sales Manager at NIU.

The showroom is located at Sveavägen 126. The opening hours are 08.00 to 20.00 every day of the week. If everything works well, the plan is to open the same concept in more locations across the country.
