We have previously seen both computers and phones with rolling screens, and now Hyundai Mobis also wants to implement this invention in cars.

Hyundai showcases rolling infotainment screen

The screen they present is available in up to 30 inches and the idea is that it will roll down into the dashboard when not in use, which might be a nice feature. The whole thing is based on OLED technology, which does not require a glass screen to function, and thus the screen can instead be made of a flexible material, such as plastic.

When this technology might find its way into cars remains to be seen, but it should not be too far away.
