Chinese robot manufacturer Unitree has unveiled a new version of their robot dog called Go, which is more powerful than the first version released in 2021.
The base version of Go2 is equipped with twelve servos and has a top speed of 3.5 meters per second (9 km/h). It is controlled via Wifi 6 or Bluetooth using the accompanying app. The battery capacity is 8000 mAh, providing a runtime of 1-2 hours. Furthermore, the robot is equipped with built-in lighting, a camera, and lidar sensors.
There is also a more advanced Pro version of Go2 that supports 4G connectivity and can receive voice commands through the built-in microphone and speaker. The Pro version can move a bit faster with a top speed of 3.5 m/s (12.6 km/h). Additionally, there is an “EDU” version designed for students who want to tinker with robot development. It can reach speeds of 5 m/s (18 km/h).
The base version of Unitree Go2 costs 1600 dollars, the Pro version costs 2800 dollars, while the price for the EDU version has not been determined yet. In the video clip below, you can see some of the things that Unitree Go2 can do.
