It is soon time for Virgin Galactic to make its first commercial flight, where they will send three researchers from the Italian Air Force to the edge of space. The flight is designated as “Galactic 01” and is planned to take place sometime between June 27th and 30th.

If all goes as planned with Galactic 01, Galactic 02 is scheduled to depart towards the edge of space in early August. After that, Virgin Galactic plans to conduct one flight per month going forward. Virgin Galactic conducted its first manned flight in 2021, with the company’s founder, Richard Branson, among the passengers.

Virgin Galactic started selling tickets for their space flights over ten years ago, and currently, approximately 800 people are on the waiting list to fly to the edge of space with the company. The current price for a ticket is $450,000.

Above is a promotional video for Virgin Galactic’s flights, which they released when they announced the date of their first commercial flight.
