Are you looking for that new fine-grained, high-sensitive color film that gives a warm cinematic feeling to your images? Then this new film from CineStill might be right up your alley.

Cinestill 400Dynamic

The CineStill 400Dynamic is a versatile film available in both 135 and 120 format. CineStill expect to be able to launch this film in the 4×5 large format during this winter. This film started out as a pre-order through CineStills crowdfunding campaign, but since late October it should now be available with all CineStill retail partners.

Features:

  • Color negative film (C-41 processing)
  • Formats: 135 and 120
  • ISO 400
  • Exposures: 36, DX-coded cassettes
  • Exposure latitude:

No push – EI 200-800
1 stop push – EI 400-1000
2 stop push – EI 800-1600
3 stop push – EI 1000-2000

It is a ISO 400 daylight balanced film. All in all it is an allround film that can handle most types of lighting situations. That comes in very handy if you are a casual photographer that keeps a film roll in the camera over a period of time. Not all of us can afford to use up a whole roll of film in each type of light we find ourselves in.

In the words of CineStill:

a fine grain film that delivers a soft color palette with natural saturated color and rich, warm skin tones. The film has a wide dynamic range, with a base sensitivity of ISO 400 but can be rated from 200 to 800, and it can be pushed up to 3200.
