The Game Awards came and went with news buzzing around. The most written about was Hideo Kojima’s horror game: OD. This is according to a study by Fancensus, which looked at media coverage up to six hours after the show. OD topped the list.
The survey was conducted on a “global level,” and other games that received wide coverage (second and third on the list) are the Valhalla DLC for God of War Ragnarok and the Dishonored studio’s Marvel game Blade. Hellblade 2 and Jurassic Park Survival also made the top 10.
A game not on the list but which has done very well is the No Man’s Sky team’s world-building game Light No Fire. It has also been a hit on Youtube, where it reportedly got the most views of all the Game Awards games (via Wccftech). In fact, the trailer became the most viewed on Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky-heavy Youtube channel in just 24 hours, and Sean Murray jokingly tweets: “That’s enough now, you can stop.”
