It’s been over 25 years since Rare released GoldenEye 007 for the Nintendo 64. But now you will be able to play the classic game again. On Friday January 27th 2023 the game was released on both Nintendo Switch and Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack and Xbox Game Pass.
The Switch version will be more like the original version from 1997 with 4:3 format and lower resolution. Because it’s part of the Nintendo Switch Online the multiplayer mode will have online support, something the Xbox version will not.
The Xbox version will have 16:9 support and achievements. As mentioned above you won’t be able to play online but split-screen is available with a much better frame rate.
