You’ve probably noticed how hard it is to find a good new game after you’ve played for a few years so here are some of my personal favourite PlayStation exclusives that may hopefully interest you.

14. GT Sport

Gran Turismo Sport

You may be wondering where is DriveClub? Well that game has been surpassed recently by Gran Turismo Sport. GT Sport offers everything that you were able to do in DriveClub and still a little more. From all the gorgeous sports cars you are able to choose from a wide variety of manufacturers to all the world’s best race tracks this game is truly gorgeous and worth your time if you are into racing.

All of that, as great as it may sound, is quite basic for a racing game nowadays. Although not a PS exclusive, Forza Horizon 5 might be a better alternative when looking for a greater overall racing experience. Anyhow, what really gives GT Sport the boost above all others is all the online features that are unique to this game. You’ll essentially be able to live the life of a travelling, professional race driver by participating in online tournaments, special events and more. So this is a great opportunity to hone your skills on racing against other good players or just have fun and race with your friends.

13. Ratchet and Clank

Ratchet and Clank

Ratchet and Clank is a game which has been around for a while now, ever since the good old PS2 days. This is going to be a very different game compared to many others on the list and it’s because this game is much more light hearted with its ridiculous guns you’ll be using, awful dad jokes and just a super bright, colourful cartoon world.

This game is the perfect example that remastered games don’t have to be crazy serious or overhauled to be brought onto the new consoles or into this modern era. So if you’re looking to get into maybe a more fun, imaginative game instead of the more hardcore serious ones then this one is definetely the one for you.

12. Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima really does a great job at capturing Japan’s nature in all its beauty with all the bright colours and just fullness that the landscapes project when you’re exploring. If you have played assassins creed and red dead redemption and have ever thought what it would be like if those two games had combined then look no further.

Ghost of Tsushima combines the huge open world feel that you get from playing red dead redemption 2 with all the assassins creed style combat to give you the full Ghost of Tsushima experience.

If you are someone who is very interested in Japanese culture then this is definitely a game you have to try. Sucker Punch, the developers, have worked hard, blending in all their knowledge from the Akira Kurosawa movies to develop this game as a form of tribute to Japanese culture.

11. Uncharted: Lost Legacy

Uncharted: Lost Legacy

As you probably know, the Uncharted franchise has always revolved around Nathan Drake since its debut in 2007 on the PS3 but now with Uncharted: Lost Legacy we see a shift in spotlight. The franchise has now moved on from Drake and instead focuses on two women who have made appearances in the franchise before.

If you aren’t familiar with the names, Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross, then let me tell you there will be a lot of feisty dialogue. Both of these characters are either double crossers or villains so as you’d imagine, in this game there is a lot of antics going on which is a very different story style as opposed to the previous bromance between Drake and Sully.

As you’d expect from an Uncharted game it has an amazing, engaging story with top notch puzzles and feels like it’s just the beginning of a new Uncharted era which you don’t want to miss

10. The Last of Us Remastered

The Last of Us Remastered

You’ll find a handful of remastered games among these best exclusives and that is just because the games were so good in the past that they were worthy of being updated so we could enjoy them with our new consoles as well. If you are lucky enough to own a PS4 or higher then you are one of the lucky ones who will get to enjoy this game in glorious 4K.

Naughty Dog still holds the title for best post-apocalyptic story of all time in my books so if you have not yet played it I would wholeheartedly recommend you experience Ellie and Joels journey together and jump into an incredible, engaging story of a lifetime.

9. Shadow of the colossus

Shadow of the colossus

This game is actually a remastered version of the original game which came out 13 years earlier and was available on the PS2, now fast forward to February of 2018 and they’ve released the remastered version. People who enjoyed playing the original version of this game have been begging creators to make a remastered version for many years so to finally be able to play it is a blessing.

Some people were nervous that the developers would try and modernise the game in an attempt to market the game for the new generation of gamers but luckily nothing drastic happened and it’s safe to say that the game is just as good as the original when it came out. This is just an amazing piece of history made new.

8. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is an amazing game because just like some of the best action movies it knows when to have these intense, exciting car chases or fighting scenes and where to settle down and have deeper, more warm interactions with people or even nature. As you could probably have guessed from previous Uncharted games, you play as the beloved Nathan Drake hunting for treasure while evading bad guys. This new addition to the franchise does add a little bit of spice though, we get to see a more emotional side to Nathan as he interacts with loved ones like Elena, Sully and even his brother Sam who is new to the game franchise. This feeling that we feel from seeing this love could even be thought of as more valuable than the treasure that you’ll be hunting after.

This game is meant to be a goodbye story for Nathan as we follow him through this final chapter in his adventure book which has been a fan favourite ever since the first Uncharted game. Even if you haven’t played the previous games it can still be just as entertaining.

7. Bloodborne

Bloodborne

This is one of those hard games where if you aren’t careful then enemies have the ability to kill you in a matter of seconds and let’s just say there are a lot of enemies to look out for. You will have to put on your big boy pants for this game because even though it may be dangerous and a little scary you will need to be brave in order to explore this gothic city you’re placed in.

The Bloodborne game is a spin-off of the developer’s very own game, Dark Souls, which has also seen some fame. Bloodborne is a third-person RPG where you’ll travel deeper and deeper into the Victorian-era environment following the horrific monsters you encounter. Each of the melee weapons that are available to you are unique to one another so you’ll be able to find a weapon that is most suited to your fighting style.

This game offers a nice variation to how games normally are nowadays. In this game each boss battle fight is really a true battle and each one will leave an impact on your life.

6. Detroit: Become Human

Detroit: Become Human

Detroit: Become Human is basically a big story-telling video game, based in 2038, where you’ll embark on a journey with a lot of cinematics but still surprisingly quite a lot of gameplay as well. In these journeys you’ll play as three different Androids who break away from their programming in order to become free. The three stories that you play all revolve around the choices which you make as that character and so there are many endings to a story you can have.

This game does an amazing job at making all of the players feel like they’re free and have complete control of what happens in these games because of these decisions you are forced to make. Although it may seem a little on the light side when it comes to action, that is kind of the point of this game, to be dialogue orientated like a proper story.

Once you start playing as these characters, believe me, it will be extremely hard to stop because you’ll become so invested in their journey.

5. The Last Guardian

The Last Guardian

The developers who made this game, Fumito Ueda, have always had an amazing way of taking each player through an emotional journey with their stories. After the games Ico and Shadow of Colossus had come out many of us have since been sitting patiently waiting for another brilliant game to come out and we were definitely not let down. The Last Guardians really lives up to the standards that the previous games had set a bar so high for.

In this game you’ll embark on a journey as a young boy who has been deserted with a huge bird/dog hybrid named Trico. You’ll play as this boy and try to escape from these beautiful ancient ruins by completing puzzles and creating a bond between you and this animal unlike any game you’ve played before.

4. God of War

God of War

This God of War game was produced in order to try and reboot this amazing franchise and take it to a whole new level. This new God of War game gives you more freedom that you’d get in its predecessors. In previous God of War games the action in the story would be quite straightforward whereas in this new game you’re able to explore an amazing open world and pick fights and puzzles, giving you so much more freedom.

The main character, Kratos, has also evolved now as a father. This has given him the opportunity to see him grow more as a person and have more sides to him than what meets the eye as opposed to the one-dimensional killing machine he has been in the past.

The only other game that I believe is on the same level as God of War, in regards to showing how versatile and capable the Playstation really is, would be Horizon Zero Dawn and that is why this is such an amazing game I’d recommend.

3. Horizon Zero Dawn

Horizon Zero Dawn

The idea of post-apocalyptic games has been quite popular since video games first came out almost to the point where too many are produced and people are losing interest in them. Horizon Zero Dawn thought they had to do something new, so they did, the game is set long after the desolation of modern society which adds a whole new genre to video games. In this era you see a variety of tribes, scattered across the map and trying to rebuild, and lots of robotic wildlife which has seemingly taken over the world.

The main character, that you’ll be playing as, is a hunter named Aloy. As Aloy you’ll get to travel this huge breathtaking environment and establish relationships with the tribes you find along the way, while hunting robotic dinosaur-like creatures. There are so many things you are able to do and complete in Horizon Zero Dawn, without getting bored because everything in this game is incredible.

2. Last Of Us Part 2

Last Of Us Part 2

After the success of Last of Us Part 1 there were many among the Playstation community that didn’t think we would need or even get a Part 2 but Naughty Dog has gone up and beyond our expectations with this one. The Last of Us Part 2 is really a game that we didn’t think we needed but are eternally grateful for and will remain as Naughty Dogs most ambitious game yet.

This game is spectacular in every way and you’ll marvel at each new environment you come across while playing it. The story is just amazing, as you’d expect from The Last of Us Franchise, and really does the job at capturing you into this virtual world. If you have the opportunity to play this game, seize it, it will definitely satisfy you.

1. Marvel’s Spider-Man

Marvel’s Spider-Man

Spiderman took the whole world by storm when it came out and I can say confidently that it is definitely the best superhero game that Playstation has seen in this recent decade. The visuals in this game just add a whole new level of details in the game which really makes any gamer stop and appreciate everything they’ve added in this game and overall just makes it so fun to play.

From the beginning of the game, when you’re just exploring and swinging around the beautiful city of New York City, to the end, where you’re combining all sorts of moves in heavy combat against enemies, Spider-Man does an amazing job at being able to keep you fully engaged and entertained.

They’re able to keep this game so fun to play by having such an amazing story with surprising twists and a genuinely funny and gripping script. This game has somehow managed to pull off having that Marvel look to it while staying true to the comics as well. This is definitely a game that can be enjoyed for several weeks if you’re looking for a new game to grind out with your friends.

The Playstation network offers a huge variety of genres when it comes to their exclusives, hopefully you were able to find one that you are interested in and start grinding.
