While we hear that Philips Hue is delaying its support for Matter, Nanoleaf announces the launch of two smart lamps in its Essentials series with Matter – an E27/B22 bulb and a light strip.
According to Nanoleaf, these lamps are the first to have built-in support for the new standard right out of the box. The lamps communicate via Thread and can light up your home in both white and RGB.
Nanoleaf’s existing modular light panels and light bars (Shapes, Elements, Canvas, and Lines) will also receive an OTA update later this year to become Matter-compatible.
The Essentials Smart Bulb and Lightstrip with Matter will be available for purchase globally at shop.nanoleaf.me. Later this year, Nanoleaf will also release GU10 and a recessed downlight with Matter support.
