DJI has released two new accessories for its Avata drone model that it presented last year. It is the new DJI Goggles Integra headset and the DJI RC Motion 2 remote control.
The DJI Goggles Integra headset has been equipped with a battery pack that is attached to the back of the band that holds the headset in place. Its predecessor, the DJI Goggles 2, had an external battery pack that had to be placed in a pocket and connected to the headset with cables, making it somewhat unwieldy. The new battery solution for the DJI Goggles Integra should be able to power the headset for about two hours. In addition to the integrated battery pack, Goggles Integra also has a built-in GPS for remote ID functionality, something that previously required a mobile phone connected to the headset to use.
The new DJI RC Motion 2 remote control is an updated version of the DJI RC Motion released last year. The new model is equipped with a slightly smaller joystick and other controls that should make it possible to control FPV drones more precisely.
A pair of DJI Goggles Integra cost about $500 while DJI RC Motion 2 costs about $240. It is also possible to buy both accessories together with a DJI Avata drone for about $1280. In the video below, Matt Zefi from the YouTube channel B&H Photo Video talks a little more about the new accessories that he has tested.
