AirTags are truly a brilliant invention, and it’s a shame that it has taken a while for alternatives to Apple’s small trackers to come out. But now, Chipolo is releasing two products for Android users who want the same experience. The products are called ONE Point and CARD Point and work with Android’s Find My Device feature, theoretically supporting millions of devices worldwide.
The idea is to pair them with your phone (they have Fast Pair) and then use the Find My Device app to locate your wallet or keys. According to Engadget, the puck has a speaker with a volume of 120 dB, so it should be easy to find. The card can produce a sound of up to 105 dB. The battery in the puck is expected to last for a year and can be replaced. The card’s battery lasts for two years, but it cannot be replaced. Instead, you would need to send in the device to get a new one at a cost.
Pre-orders are now available, and the One (the round puck) costs $28, while the Card costs $35. For two pucks and one card, the total price is $77.
