Things that move items for companies and individuals can be a bit more fun. And run on electricity. So maybe the Morris JE Van is the perfect thing to move packages and things with?
That remains to be seen, but Jonny Smith has in any case visited Morris and taken a closer look at their first prototype (the blue one) and their latest prototype (the pink one). And a Morris from the 60s (the green one).
The Morris J-E has been developed with three battery packs to choose from, offering between 150 and 250 miles of range on one charge. The van takes up a small footprint, but has a larger payload than many existing electric vans (including the Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo), thanks to its light kerbweight (under 1200kg). At £60,000 it isn’t going to be a high volume fleet seller, but brands and companies who value the looks and PR possibility, together with zero emission deliveries, may appreciate this unique all-British proposition.
