Two months ago, Mercedes introduced the new E-Class sedan. Now it’s time for the estate version to make its entrance, and this is how it looks.

The wheelbase has increased by 22 millimeters, which provides slightly more space in the rear seats, but the sloping roofline reduces the luggage compartment from 640 to 615 liters. When the rear seats are folded, it can accommodate up to 1,830 liters, which is ten liters more than before. If you choose the plug-in hybrid, you no longer have a bulge where the battery pack is located, and the initial model available in Europe is called the E300e.

It features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 204 horsepower, paired with a 129-horsepower electric motor integrated into the nine-speed automatic transmission. The total output is stated as 312 horsepower, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds.

The battery pack has a capacity of 25.4 kWh, providing an electric range of up to 100 kilometers. Of course, there are more engine options available. Sales will start in autumn, but unfortunately, we don’t have any pricing information yet.
