This year’s show is The Cycle Show’s 20th anniversary and it’ll be returning to Alexandra Palace, in London, from the 21st to the 23rd of April. If this year’s show is anything like the previous years then you’ll be sure to find a huge variety of star-studded bikes, equipment, riders and just loads of things to do.

The Cycle Show 2023

Not only will you have awesome products to look at but you’ll also be able to hear or even speak to some pro riders from all disciplines, some of these riders include Chris Froome, Zoe Backstedt, Shanaze Reade and many more. Here you will find a full list of the guests that will be attending

The huge variety of cycling brands being exhibited is amazing as well and ranges from bike brands, such as 3T and BMC to equipment brands like Fizik and Ergon. This collection of bike brands is vaste as even the makers of electric bikes are included, such as brands like Tern and MiRider, as well as ebike component brands like Bosch, Bafang and Fazua.

One of the coolest things that you’ll be able to do and witness is the latest tech and equipment from some of the biggest brands in cycling, such as Campagnolo, SRAM and Mavic just to name a few of them. So, without further adieu here are the five great reasons that you should visit The Cycle Show of 2023 this April.

5 Reasons why you should go

See Loads of Bikes

Loads of Bikes

One of the biggest, if not the biggest, attractions of this show will be all of the latest bikes that you’ll get to feast your eyes on, from huge bike brands such as BMC, Wilier, Orro and Bianchi. However, it isn’t just the most popular brands that will have their new bikes on exhibit but smaller brands such as All-City, Basso, Kinesis, Quirk and Niner will also get a chance to show off their new bikes.

Not only will you be getting to see some of the latest, or not even released yet, bikes in the cycling world but you’ll also get the chance to witness some of the amazing custom builds from Fat Creations, who were the ones that won the best bike honours at the Cycle Show of 2022. For those who are looking to satisfy their vintage craving, there will also be a retro 1980’s exhibit of BMW bikes, from this sports earliest years, for you to experience.

Take Test Rides

Another awesome thing to look forward to when it comes to this cycle show is that, just like the previous year, you will have the opportunity to actually go out and test ride bikes, on tarmac and off-road demo tracks. You’ll also have a variety of over 200 bikes to choose from when you’re picking a bike to test ride, as well as a huge range of electric bikes that you can also choose from. In order to get this test ride you will have to book a test track slot, so that you are able to secure a ride on the bike you want on the day you want.

Not only will you have the chance to test ride some bikes that you may have always wanted to but you will also stand a chance to actually win a place on a ride-out with Nicolas Roche, who is a former pro, and if you win this it’ll be hosted on the Sunday of the show.

Have Skill Sessions and be Amazed by the Experts

Skill Sessions and be Amazed by the Experts

Probably the coolest thing about this cycle show is how enteractive it is and how you will be able to touch, see and ride most things. Yet another example of this is the skills session at the Cycle Show, which will be hosted by none other than Scott Wilson. Scorr Wilson will be teaching you and everyone there a few essential skills that everyone can learn but also show off his own trial talents over various obstacles.

Then if you get tired of watching the professionals and think that you can do it yourself then there is the FulGaz stand, where you will be able to try and beat Alexandra Palace’s time in a virtual hill climb race to try and prove your own strength. You’ll be able to register at the comfort of your own home before coming to the show, and not only will you get a chance to prove your own ability there are also loads of prizes and free gifts for those that will be at the top of the leaderboards by the end of the day.

Then if you instead fancy yourself as more of a track stand expert then you can try and beat the world record with British Cycling, who are hosting their own competition to try and beat the current record, which stands at 21 minutes and 34 seconds.

Start Bikepacking

During this past year we have witnessed both gravel riding as well as bikepacking growing tremendously and so at this year’s Cycle Show they will get their own dedicated stage. Here you’ll be able to go and get the best practical tips for travelling by bike, not only in the UK but for other places as well. You’ll get advice on which places to go to, how you should prepare as well as Q and A sessions with some experts in this field, as well as Josh Ibbett, a well-known endurance cyclist.

You’ll Get to Hear Directly From the Stars
