Many of today’s gadgets use power even when they are not turned on (usually due of lights or LED readouts). There are numerous examples of this ranging from stereos to computers. The power used is usually not very much, but if you’ll be away from home for an extended period of time or are particularly power conscious, the Outlet Switch can be a handy alternative to unplugging power cords. In some cases, the glow of powered off gadgets can even be irritating, which is another benefit of the Outlet Switch. It’s also useful for those that have power cables well-organized since unplugging devices can cause extra work when they have to be reorganized. The Outlet Switch sells for $8.98, and can also be purchased as a package of two ($8.98) or four ($15.96).

Man, I have to get one of these for my nightlight! This will be very handy for nightlights that don’t have an on/off switch.
Does anyone make one of these for a 3-pronged (grounded) plug?
