Existing shareholders have now invested a total of £70 million in McLaren Automotive. The money will go towards future electrification projects and although it is a substantial amount, it is said that McLaren needs £500 million in total for this purpose.
The new investment will not be used in motorsport, but will be solely dedicated to road cars. Currently, only the Artura model is offered with hybrid propulsion, but more are on the way.
