Rolls-Royce is now unveiling a new special edition called the Droptail, which will be produced in only four units, each priced at approximately 25 million dollars!
The Coachbuild division is behind this creation, presenting a cabriolet with a hardtop. Unlike the previous special models Sweptail and Boat Tail, the Droptail isn’t based on the Architecture of Luxury platform; instead, it features an entirely new chassis made of steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber.
The engine, however, remains the well-proven 6.75-liter V12, equipped with twin turbochargers producing 600 horsepower and 840 Newton-meters of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is claimed to take under five seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.
The first exemplar showcased here is named La Rose Noire, drawing inspiration from the French rose variety Black Baccara. This flower holds a special place as the favorite of the family’s mother, who ordered the car.
