In December 2021, images of a completely undisguised new Mini leaked. At the time, it was still uncertain if this was exactly what the car would look like, but now that Mini themselves are sharing images of it, we can see that there have been no changes. The images we see here appear to show the all-electric, Chinese-manufactured version, but no further information is provided at this time.
In terms of appearance, it is recognizable from the front, but from the back it is a completely new car. The “face” has become more square, and the hood is shorter than before and no longer goes around the headlights. The large grille design is taken from the Urbanaut concept car. The Spiderman-like rear lights are a completely new feature, and some may argue that the car no longer looks like a Mini from the back.
We will have to wait for the premiere later this year for more information on the car and all the versions that will be offered.
