If you want to drive on electricity, the most commonly offered vehicles are crossovers and SUVs. Very few open sports cars are available, but soon there will be one at least, and it is from MG.
It is the cool concept car Cyberster that was presented in 2021 that has resulted in the much tamer production version we see here, but as you know, you can’t have it all in life. The Lambo doors were left, though, so that’s something.
The car is strictly two-seater and has a canvas roof that can be folded away when you want to let in the sun. It measures 4.53 meters in length, 1.91 in width, and is 1.32 meters high. The entry-level version will have a rear-mounted electric motor, rear-wheel drive, and 231 kW/314 horsepower. There is also a version that has an additional electric motor on the front axle, which instead should have a combined output of 400 kW/544 horsepower. We don’t know what the range will be.
Launch in Europe is planned for next summer. We don’t know the price yet.
