We have previously mentioned that Alpine will compete with a specially modified A110 in this year’s edition of Pikes Peak, and now we get to see what they have come up with.

The car is designed solely for the competition, and as we can see, it has been given a lot of aerodynamic gadgets, including a two-part spoiler on the rear hatch. Everything has been developed by Alpine in collaboration with Signatech, and in addition to giving the car a new appearance and more downforce, the engine has also been spiced up and is expected to produce around 500 horsepower. That’s 200 more than the standard street version offers. At the same time, as the power has been increased, the weight has been reduced. This car is 132 kilos lighter than the A110 R, which means it weighs in at 950 kilos.

Raphaël Astier will be driving the car, and the next step is to start testing it before the creation is flown to Colorado Springs to participate in the event that takes place on June 25th.
