In June, the Pikes Peak hill climb race will take place again and Alpine will bring a special version of its racing car, the A110 GT4, which has been given the additional name Evo.
Now, we get a teaser image of this car and what we can see is that it has a pretty big wing at the back. It is in turn connected to the roof. The car is rear-wheel drive and will compete in the Time Attack 1 category. It is the first time that Alpine is participating in the competition and behind the wheel will be Raphaël Astier.
Astier has competed in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb four times. He previously set a class record of 9:23.721 in the Time Attack 1 category. For comparison, the Volkswagen I.D. R holds the overall record with a time of 7:57.148.
“I am extremely proud to be the driver chosen for this program and I look forward to bringing all my experience and knowledge to the brand’s first-ever Pikes Peak participation,” said Astier.
