Three years ago, actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased the British football club Wrexham, and now they are making another investment in the world of sports.

This time, they have acquired ownership in the F1 team Alpine, formerly known as Renault F1 Team. Reynolds and McElhenney, along with other investors, have purchased a 24 percent stake in the Alpine F1 Team for 200 million euros. The exact amount of money contributed by the two actors is not disclosed.

In addition to Reynolds and McElhenney, the consortium investing in Alpine includes venture capital firms Otro Capital and RedBird Investment. RedBird has previously invested in Fenway Sports Group, which owns the British football team Liverpool, the American baseball team Boston Red Sox, the NFL team Pittsburgh Penguins, and the NASCAR team RFK Racing.
