The Croatian electric car Rimac Nevera recently set a new record for the fastest lap time for a mass-produced electric car at the legendary Nürburgring track.
It surpassed the previous record holder, the Tesla Model S Plaid, by a whopping 20 seconds, with the new record time of seven minutes and five seconds. Due to requirements from the car’s tire supplier, Rimac limited the top speed to a maximum of 350 km/h, which means it never reached the car’s actual top speed of 412 km/h.
The record lap was set by Croatian racing driver Martin Kodric, and you can watch the lap in the video above.
