In 2021, the Tesla Model S Plaid set a record as the fastest electric production car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a time of 7:35.579.

In August of last year, this record was surpassed by a Porsche Taycan Turbo S, which set a time of 7:33.35.

Model S Plaid at Nürburgring Again

Now, Tesla has reclaimed the throne with a Model S Plaid Track Package that completed the track in 7:25.231. During the run, the driver reached a top speed of 289 km/h. It remains to be seen how long Tesla’s record will stand. Rimac has been spotted at the Ring with the Nevera model and is likely to attempt a record soon.
