Porsche is now rolling out an updated version of its SUV, the Cayenne. In addition to a new look, it promises more luxury and higher performance than before. Some features are borrowed from its siblings, the Taycan and 911.
For the first time in the Cayenne, front seat passengers can have their own infotainment screen of 10.9 inches where they can, for example, stream movies. Also new is a 12.6-inch curved digital instrument cluster. To the right of this is a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The interior should also be more pleasant thanks to a new air quality system that can detect the level of fine dust particles in the air and filter the air several times if necessary.
In Europe, the car is launched with three different engine versions. The Cayenne S gets its V8 back after having a V6 in the previous generation. The engine is twin-turbocharged, with a 4.0-liter engine that produces 474 horsepower and 600 Newton-meters of torque. 0-100 km/h should go in 4.7 seconds and the top speed is 273 km/h.
The entry-level version will have a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that offers 353 horsepower and 500 Newton-meters of torque. Then there’s the Cayenne E-Hybrid, which has this same six-cylinder engine plus a new electric motor connected to it. The combined power is stated at 470 horsepower and the battery pack is 25.9 kWh. On electric power alone, it should be able to drive up to 90 km.
