Porsche has an update of the Cayenne SUV in the works, and now the manufacturer is showing what it will look like on the inside.

They say they have completely rethought the layout, and those familiar with the electric car Taycan will probably recognize some things. One new feature is that even the passenger can have a 10.9-inch screen in front of them. This can be used, for example, for navigation or watching a movie. However, the driver cannot see what is displayed on the screen to avoid distraction.

In front of the driver, there is a 12.6-inch screen displaying the instruments, while the one in the middle is 12.3 inches and has Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Apple Music, and Spotify integrated. You can also use Apple’s Siri to activate various functions.

As we can see, the start button has been moved to the steering wheel, which is borrowed from the 911, and the gear selector is now to the right of this instead of on the center console. They have now chosen to put the buttons for the climate control there, both physical and touch-sensitive. However, the stereo volume is controlled by a physical knob.

Of course, you can wirelessly charge your smartphone, and the charger for this should be 15 watts. There are two USB-C ports in front of the charging pad, and there are two more further back on the center console.

The facelift premieres on April 18th.

The new Porsche Cayenne is one of the sportiest cars in its segment – and its interior reflects this as well. A sporty ambience is combined with dynamic functionality, luxurious comfort and typical Cayenne design features.
