During an event at MIT, OpenAI’s CEO and co-founder Sam Altman confirmed that the company is not currently training GPT-5, which would be a successor to GPT-4 released in March.
Altman also commented on the letter from researchers calling for a pause in the development of new AI models, saying that the letter lacked “technical nuances about where we need to take a break.”
