In the same New York Times article that we wrote about yesterday, it was also revealed that Samsung and Microsoft may expand their partnership by making Bing the default search engine on Samsung’s Galaxy phones.

When Samsung informed Google about this, the company reportedly had a bit of a panic, which is understandable. Google’s search contract with Samsung is said to be worth as much as three billion dollars annually.

It remains to be seen whether Google will be able to “win back” Samsung, or if there will be a switch to Bing as the default.

Google has a similar contract with Apple that is worth as much as 20 billion dollars annually.
