That aims to offer a “much more personal experience.” According to The New York Times, the project is in its early stages and currently has no clear timeline. At the same time, Google is also working on new AI features for its traditional search engine.
One of the new features that the service would have is a chatbot that, like Bard or ChatGPT, could answer questions about coding and generate new code. The company has also experimented with a feature that would allow users to search for music through conversation. According to The New York Times, over 160 employees are working on the project.
Google is also working on a new feature for Chrome called “Searchalong,” which would allow users to scan the web page they are reading to get contextual information. For example, if you are looking for a place to stay on Airbnb, you can ask the chatbot to tell you what you could do near your planned accommodation.
It is not entirely impossible that we will see something from the project, which is currently called Magic, at Google I/O in May.
