In a new charging test conducted by Phone Arena, it turns out that Samsung’s latest S23 series charges more slowly wirelessly than the previous S22 series. The worst of all is the S23 Ultra, which was as much as 33 percent slower. The S22 Ultra was fully charged wirelessly in 1 hour and 58 minutes, while the S23 Ultra took 2 hours and 37 minutes.
The remarkable thing about the whole situation is that nowhere in Samsung’s specifications is it mentioned that there is any difference in speed for wireless charging – all models should charge at 15 W. The reason for this is unclear, but one guess could be that Samsung is a bit more cautious about the battery health in the new phones.
