PlayStation owners who were waiting for Bethesda’s Indiana Jones game were disappointed – the studio’s new adventure will be exclusive to Xbox and PC. The game will also be available on the Xbox Game Pass service from the start.
The United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC), has decided to halt Microsoft’s acquisition of the game company Activision Blizzard and has taken the company to court.
During the ongoing court proceedings, Bethesda’s Head of Publishing, Peter Hines, confirmed that the company had a deal with Disney to release the Indiana Jones game on multiple platforms (including PlayStation). However, the deal fell through after Microsoft acquired Bethesda’s parent company, ZeniMax Media, for $7.5 billion, according to The Verge.
Microsoft has previously made other games developed by Bethesda exclusive to its platforms – including titles like “Starfield” and “Redfall.”
Disappointed PlayStation owners can always find solace in the fact that “The Expanse: A Telltale Series” is set to be released on PS at the end of July. Another alternative for adventure-hungry gamers is to revisit the Indy-inspired Nathan Drake and his adventures in the “Uncharted” series, available on PSN.
