Volkswagen is now rolling out an update for the third generation of the Touareg, with a focus on lighting. The car receives new and stylish LED Matrix headlights, new taillights, and an illuminated Volkswagen emblem on the rear hatch. Other minor changes have been made to the exterior and interior.
In terms of engines, there are three different 3.0-liter V6 options to choose from. One runs on gasoline, and two are diesel-powered. Additionally, there are two different plug-in hybrid models that combine gasoline V6 engines with an electric motor. The power output reaches over 450 horsepower at maximum. All versions come with all-wheel drive, and power is delivered through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both the steel suspension and air suspension have been refined to provide more comfort. The interior receives an updated version of the Innovision Cockpit, and there is wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The materials used for the doors and center console are now said to be softer. USB-C ports have been incorporated in various locations.
In Germany, prices start at 69,200 euros and go up to 93,870 euros for the top R eHybrid version.
