What we see here is the winning entry from the Polestar Design Contest held last year. Polestar has chosen to recreate the vehicle, known as Synergy, in a 1:1 scale and is currently showcasing the futuristic supercar at the auto show in Munich.

Simultaneously, the car manufacturer announces a partnership with the American company Mattel, aiming to inspire the next design competition, which has not yet been announced. In the future, Polestar’s production models will also be offered as Hot Wheels and Matchbox toy models. CEO Thomas Ingenlath says:

Congratulations to the winners; their vision and the teamwork with our designers has resulted in a truly gorgeous car. The collaboration with Mattel for next year’s Polestar Design Contest and the forthcoming scale models of our production cars will bring the Polestar brand and this groundbreaking competition to an even wider audience-. All of this proves that electric vehicles –in reality or as toys – can be just as, if not more, exciting than their ICE equivalents.
