Lamborghini themselves are now talking about their upcoming successor to the mighty Aventador model. The new car, codenamed LB744, will be a real power monster and will have a hybrid powertrain.

This consists of a newly developed robust 6.5-liter V12 engine that is connected to no less than three electric motors – two at the front and one at the back. The naturally aspirated V12 engine delivers 825 horsepower and 725 newton-meters of torque. The combined power output is stated to be 1015 horsepower.

The package also includes a new eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and all-wheel drive – the combustion engine powers the rear wheels while the front electric motors drive the front wheels. You should also be able to drive on electricity alone and still have all-wheel drive. In this case, the rear electric motor should take care of the rear wheels.

They don’t reveal how far you can go on electricity alone at the moment. The gearbox, which is manufactured by Lamborghini themselves, is both lighter and faster than the seven-speed gearbox in the Huracán sibling. You should also be able to hold down the left paddle and thus downshift several gears at once.

This model, which will become Lamborghini’s new flagship, will be unveiled “soon”.
