After the Ocean, Fisker plans to release the smaller SUV called the Pear. The goal was to begin deliveries in early next year, but that won’t be the case. Problems with the car’s battery pack supplier mean that production won’t start until sometime in 2025. Once the model is available, it is expected to cost $29,900.

Recently, the first units of the Ocean were delivered, but rumors quickly spread that the vehicle had been recalled due to software issues. Fisker has clearly denied these rumors and stated that the cars were delivered with a simplified version that will be updated over-the-air in the future. They maintain that the vehicle should function as intended and not have limitations on speed, as was speculated. However, it is evident that software in cars is not the easiest thing to get right. Fisker has also reduced the production target for the Ocean by 10,000 units and expects to produce between 32,000 and 36,000 units this year.
